A browlift or Forehead lift in Pasadena improves the sagging eyebrows and frown lines that come with age. The result is a more relaxed
and refreshed appearance. A browlift can be performed in conjunction with a facelift or eyelid lift to result in optimal facial
rejuvenation.
The Procedure
A browlift may be performed as an outpatient procedure and takes about 2 hours. Dr. Gross may use an
endoscopic procedure when performing browlifts, which greatly minimizes the size of incisions
and the resulting scars. Unlike traditional browlifts which require an incision along the entire top of the scalp, the
endoscopic technique requires only a few small incisions. Through these incisions, a thin tube in inserted which is
attached to a camera. The surgeon then modifies the muscles that cause wrinkling and lifts your eyebrows to a more pleasing level.
Recovery
After the surgery, you will wear a bandage around the forehead for 1 to 2 days. Most patients can return to work in about a week.
Most of the bruising subsides in two weeks, and vigorous exercise can be resumed in 3 weeks.
Results
After your browlift you will notice a more alert, animated and youthful appearance. Scars are hidden within the hair
and are usually not visible.
Risks
The risks associated with a browlift are small. Because complications vary from patient to patient depending on age,
life-style and medical history, these will be discussed more carefully during your consultation.
