As children, we begin to notice what makes us different from others. Children who’s ears stick out from the sides of their head are often the subject of teasing and may suffer with self esteem issues as a result. As adults, many women opt for hair styles that allow them to cover their ears. Using Otoplasty, Dr. John Gross is able to improve the appearance of the ears, setting them back against the side of the head.

Otoplasty or ear surgery is a surgical procedure in which Dr. Gross makes small incisions behind the ears to reposition them closer to the side of the head. This procedure can be performed on children, teens or adults. Due to the location of the incisions there is very little if any visible scarring. The length of the procedure varies on the severity of the ears being corrected but generally lasts anywhere between 1 1/2 and 3 hours.
